I have a VERY old air conditioner, 23 years old to be exact. Bill came out to service it since it stopped blowing cold air. He fixed it in no time at all. He recommended that I start at least thinking of getting a new one but that was it. Absolutely no pressure, no hard sell. I appreciate that very much as a customer. Odds are good I'll go with this company when the day comes that it can't be fixed. Hopefully in another bunch of years!
We called Comfort By Design as our AC wasn't working. They had Bill out the next morning who explained the problem and told us how he was going to fix it along with the cost prior to working on it. He also took the time to go over heating and air conditioning maintenance and we discussed our air exchanger with him while waiting for the house to cool. We thought the work done and the additional consult was great. Their price for work done was fair. We were very satisfied with the service.
In general, this company's integrity is lead by a team of the highest Quality employees. I remember when "Freiers heating and air" was the local Ellsworth primary heating and air company. That was roughly back in 2002. The owner, Scott Freier had a solid crew. I believe in 2003 the company found a diamond in the rough that lead to what the company is today. That being said, my main appreciation is the "Earth Friendly" concepts that have come about during the interum.
